In this talk, I will review the latest observational status in the field\u00a0including the\u00a0identification\u00a0of a Galactic magnetar as the source of FRBs. I will also\u00a0review our current understanding of the physical mechanisms of FRBs in reference to two\u00a0related astrophysical phenomena, namely, radio pulsars and gamma-ray bursts.
