They show transient phenomena called outbursts. The most plausible model for outbursts is thermal-viscous instability triggered by partial ionization of hydrogen in the accretion disk. However, recent development of time-domain astronomy has found various kinds of outbursts that cannot be explained by the standard disk instability model. I have focused on multi-wavelength observations and numerical simulations to establish a grand unified model for rich variety of outbursts. In this presentation, I introduce an example for interpreting a weired light curve in a well-known white-dwarf binary by both the above two approaches. I present our recent work for improving the numerical code by implementing variable inner disk radius. Additionally, I will discuss our ongoing study and future plans on 2D numerical simulations and timing spectroscopy of fast variability.

Multi-wavelength observations and numerical simulations of compact binary transients Speaker: Mariko Kimura (K … “2026-6-3” の続きを読む

["post-2686","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
