The primary attendees will be graduate students (master’s and doctoral programs), PD, and faculty members. To ensure that people from different fields can understand, it would be greatly appreciated if you could include a basic introduction to your research area in your presentation.

– Presentation (45-60 min.)
– Q&A (Max. 30 min.)
Coffee and some drinks will be available at the venue.
We hope you enjoy the conversation with the participants.
Student talks
For student talks, typically two students present each session. The schedule for each is as follows:
– Introduction of the Speaker (< 5 min.)
– Presentation (20-30 min.)
– Q&A (Max. 10 min.)
Preparation
Please submit your personal information (your full name, affiliation, and e-mail address), title, and abstract to the organizers of the colloquium.
We will inform you the form for submission.
Deadline: 10 days prior to your presentation
For invited speakers, the moderator will begin the procedures for the honorarium and travel expenses. Please prepare the required information, such as bank account details, according to the moderator’s instructions. Note that only domestic travel can be financially supported.
Your name, affiliation, title, and abstract will be posted on the colloquium website.
If you have any questions, please contact the organizers of the colloquium.
On the Day of the Presentation
If you are presenting on-site, please arrive at the venue by 15:15 JST (15 minutes before the start).
Unless there are special circumstances, we ask that presenters use their own computers for sharing slides via Zoom. The Zoom URL will be provided in the announcement emails.
We may ask you to connect directly to the projector from your own PC by HDMI cable. It would be helpful if you could bring a connector for output, just in case.
To use the network, you will need to connect to the NAOJ Free Wi-Fi Service, so please check your connection by 15:20 JST (10 minutes before the start).
If you are presenting online and have concerns about your network stability, it is recommended to send your presentation slides to the moderator in advance.
For any inquiries, please contact the organizers of the NAOJ Science Colloquium.
