The Progress of East Asian Planet Search Network

Speaker: Huan-Yu Teng (EACOA fellow/NAOJ)

Abstract:

The East Asian Planet Search Network (EAPS-Net) is a collaborative program dedicated to searching for planets, involving Japan, China, and South Korea. The survey targets approximately 860 late-G (including early-K) giant stars using precise radial velocity measurements, with the goal of detecting planets around intermediate-mass stars in their evolved stages. Initiated 20 years ago, the program has discovered 48 exoplanetary systems using 2-meter class telescopes in East Asia. In this seminar, I will report on the current status of EAPS-Net and highlight its latest discoveries.
